Chia SEEDS
These little seeds are jam-packed with nutrients
such as vitamin C and iron. They’re also high in
protein and fibre and great for hydration. What’s
more is they actually contain more Omega 3
than salmon! Just 20g a day is enough to reap
the benefits and they can be added to pretty
much anything. We’ve listed three quick and
easy ways to get your daily fix:
the
MIGHTY
Chia SEED
Sprinkle on
your porridge
We like using chunky oats with
a nut milk such as coconut
or almond. Simply stir in 2-3
teaspoons of chia seeds and top
with chopped nuts and seeds of
your choice. We suggest pumpkin,
sunflower and flax seeds!
Add to your
morning smoothie
Our favourite is banana with nut
milk and a wholesome nut butter.
Almond butter will provide a good
source of ‘healthy’ fat as well as
balance blood sugar levels.
MAKE CHIA PUDDING
Add 4 teaspoons of chia seeds
to natural Greek yoghurt, drizzle
with honey or agave nectar and
top with fresh berries such as
raspberries and blueberries. It
makes a great breakfast if made
the night before too!
