classes. If you’re not already aware, HIIT (high intensity interval
training) is short intense bursts, with an even shorter break. It’s
great if you’ve not got much time, as these workouts are typically
shorter and more efficient. All classes are taken in the designated
dance studio.
For the swimmers (or aspiring swimmers!):
There is a 25m swimming pool which is great for both leisure and
fitness. If you’ve not quite mastered it, Bottisham offers ASAapproved
swimming lessons which are available for all ages and
abilities, starting at just four months. Private lessons are also
available along with crash courses during the holidays. Up to 35
group lessons are taught each week, as well as one-to-one options.
For the kids:
There’s lots of fun to be had for the kids too. Take them swimming
or even host your children’s parties here; the ‘Double Trouble Giant
Inflatable Party’ and ‘Floats Fun’ both happen in the pool. The
drier options include a ‘Jumpin’ Beans Bouncy Castle Party’ and a
‘Football Party.’
For the willing to learn:
Want to acquire a new skill? There are lots of adult education days
and evenings which may interest you. The college’s Adult Learning
programme provides high quality classes in areas such as cookery,
computing, photography, arts and crafts, health, fitness and
wellbeing and even counselling training!
The Sports Centre is open Monday to
Friday from 4pm - 10pm, and 8am - 4pm on
Saturday and Sunday. Even better, there’s
free parking and it’s conveniently only 8
miles from Cambridge and 8 miles from
Newmarket. Membership is just £23.50 per
month includes swim, gym, badminton as
well as use of the tennis courts and fitness
