A SmartLoving marriage
enrichment weekend offers
couples the opportunity to enrich
and empower their marriage,
drawing on the wisdom of
authentic Catholic teaching in the
light of St John Paul II’s theology
of the body. The programme is
facilitated by volunteer married
couples with 10 years experience
of presenting and giving
testimony. SmartLoving gives
powerful strategies and insights to
help you turn a good marriage
into a GREAT marriage; such topics
as trust and control, forgiveness
and healing, the gift of sexuality,
and the power of our relationship
to influence others! There is no
group sharing and workbooks help
you reflect on your own
relationship together in private as
a couple. All meals and snacks are
provided and there is the option
of B&B accommodation. The
weekends take place in peaceful
and intimate settings with the
opportunity for confession, Holy
Mass and the Saturday evening is
rounded off with a 3­course
dinner. For all stages and ages of
married life, whether your
marriage is solid and loving or
stressed and fragile, a
SmartLoving weekend can help
you to make your marriage your
mission, and to rediscover the joy
of being a man and woman in
love.

Explore seeks to encourage
young people to think positively
about life­long marital
relationships by engaging in an
open and honest dialogue with
them about real marital
relationships. In a classroom
setting, with a group of students
and facilitated by a trained
coach, couples answer questions
about their individual marital
relationship to give young people
a real insight in to how a loving
marriage works. By sharing your
experience of marriage, you can
make a real difference to the
next generation! It’s also great
fun and ideal ongoing
enrichment for your own
relationship. Volunteering is
usually no more than three or
four times per year for a couple
of hours a time. As Pope Francis
repeats in Amoris Laetitia: “the
desire to marry and form a family
remains vibrant, especially
among young people, and this is
an inspiration to the Church.”
