Salmon Burgers<br />

1 can (14.75 oz.) salmon, drained $4.05<br />

1 egg $0.23<br />

3 green onions, chopped $0.99<br />

1/3 cup bread crumbs,<br />

or crumbled wheat toast $0.10<br />

Dash of pepper $0.01<br />

Dash of garlic powder $0.01<br />

No-calorie, non-stick cooking spray $0.03<br />

6 whole wheat buns $1.79<br />

TOTAL: $7.21<br />

Directions:<br />

1. Drain salmon and break into chunks with<br />

fork in a large bowl.<br />

2. Crack egg into salmon and whisk; add in<br />

remaining ingredients and mix.<br />

3. Divide mixture and form into 6 patties.<br />

4. Heat up medium skillet on medium-high<br />

heat with non-stick cooking spray.<br />

5. Add patties to hot skillet and cook 3-4<br />

minutes on each side.<br />

6. Serve on toasted whole wheat bun and enjoy!<br />
