– The phenomenon of our existence and
our work is reflected in a very simple formula:
we are a traditional house of Serbian
sport, which operates according to the most
modern and highest criteria, six decades in
continuity. It is this synergy of traditional
and modern, the outstanding balance of
humaneness, professionalism, vocation and
ethics that make the principles of our work
and the basis of our success – explained
Goran Bojović, director of the Institute for
Sport and Sports Medicine, addressing the
eminent guests at the ceremony in “Serbia”
Palace, celebrating the 60 th anniversary of
the institution. – Sport and sports medicine
in the Institute are not two separate worlds,
on the contrary, these are units that complement
each other and make a good quality
entity, recognizable in the world of sport.

Among the guests at the ceremony were also Serbian sports
legends, as well as the current sports champions: Dragan Džajić,
Goran Maksimović, Asmir Kolašinac, Ivana Maksimović, Bojana
Jovanovski...
Director Bojović thanked everyone
who had been partners of this renowned
institution for years, and he singled out the
Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic
of Serbia, headed by the Minister
Vanja Udovičić.
– Our partnership is bound by the same
goal: to make sport in Serbia better, healthier
and more accessible to children. Together
we have done a lot, but I will mention
only the reconstruction of the Sports
and Youth Camp “Karataš”, which symbolizes
everything that we stand for.
In the past sixty years, the Institute,
functionally, played a key role in the development
of general physical culture in the
country That is why, as it befits the best, it
celebrated its anniversary in the company
of sports legends and top experts in sports
medicine.
The academy was attended by the
