Symposium: ERS and tuberculosis<br />

2016 highlights (followed by WHO/ERS Document ceremony)<br />

Aims : This symposium will highlight some of the core achievement in Tuberculosis prevention and control. The focus will be on<br />

tuberculosis projects which involved ERS.<br />

Specific objectives are to inform the audience about the new ATS guidelines (which had been developed in collaboration with ERS) and<br />

the requisite that new treatment regimens for TB need to have (Target Product Profiles-TPPs- as developed by WHO). During the session<br />

the new WHO document on new anti-TB regimens TPPs will be officially launched. Furthermore, the results of the WHO LTBI<br />

implementation plan and of the WHO/ERS digital health projects will be presented.<br />
