Noch bis zum 27. November läuft in Venedig die Architekturbiennale.
Nominiert für die Schweiz ist der
Architekt und ETH-Professor Christian Kerez, der den
Schweizer Pavillon an der 15. Ausgabe bespielt. Im
Palazzo Trevisan degli Ulivi, wo man in entspannter
Atmosphäre über zeitgenössische Architektur und
Kunst diskutiert, wird die in Kairo geborene Schweizerin
Leïla el-Wakil über das Kulturerbe Genfs und zu
Themen der zeitgenössischen Architektur berichten.
Venice’s biennial festival of architecture continues
until 27 November. Nominated for Switzerland at
this year’s event is architect and Zurich Federal Institute
of Technology professor Christian Kerez, who has
designed the Swiss Pavilion. The Palazzo Trevisan degli
Ulivi, meanwhile, is home to Cairo-born Swiss architect,
art historian and associate professor Leïla el-Wakil,
who will be talking about Geneva’s cultural heritage and
contemporary architectural issues.

Auch dieses Jahr lockt das Filmfestival
mit Weltpremieren und
Hollywoodstars auf die Piazza
Grande. Zum 69. Mal werden
filmische Höhepunkte auf der
riesigen Open-Air-Leinwand
gezeigt. Im Mittelpunkt steht
der internationale Wettbewerb
um den Goldenen Leoparden.
Für elf Tage wird Locarno, im
Herzen Europas, zur Welthauptstadt
des Kinos. Film ab!
This year, too, the Locarno
Film Festival will be presenting
world premieres and Hollywood
stars in the wonderful setting
of the Piazza Grande on what
must be Europe’s biggest openair
cinema screen! And once
again, the festival – now in its
69th edition – will be bestowing
its coveted Golden Leopard. For
eleven days Locarno, right in the
heart of Europe, becomes the
world capital of cinema. Lights –
camera – action!
