1st Annual Business Ethics<br />
in the Americas Conference<br />
(BEAC)<br />

The objective of the conference was to increase<br />
the ability of MBA students to understand and<br />
successfully deal with their home nation’s business<br />
ethics and corruption challenges by studying crucial<br />
issues and innovative solutions from a hemispheric<br />
perspective, and by forming more extensive and<br />
robust hemispheric networks.<br />
The event was addressed to the <strong>INCAE</strong> community,<br />
and live-streamed to the Global Network of<br />
Advanced Management (GNAM). BEAC speakers<br />
included Arturo Condo (former <strong>INCAE</strong> President and<br />
member of the Oath Project Advisory Board), Mary<br />
Gentile (director of Giving Voice to Values and Senior<br />
Research Scholar at Babson College), Carlos Hernán<br />
Robles (former Anglo-Costa Rican Bank Manager),<br />
and Brad Lorge (co-founder of Premonition and<br />
entrepreneur of technology-social development<br />
businesses).<br />

TEDx<strong>INCAE</strong><br />
Tedx<strong>INCAE</strong> was held on January 23, 2016, with the<br />
objective of showcasing the best of <strong>INCAE</strong> and Latin<br />
America to the world, promote valuable ideas from<br />
the region and boost the creation of a Tedx<strong>INCAE</strong><br />
community.<br />
The event offered talks on leadership, innovation,<br />
technology and sustainable development. It included<br />
presentations from 27 experts, and nearly 200<br />
participants from 18 countries (including <strong>INCAE</strong><br />
students and graduates, entrepreneurs and other<br />
interested members of the public).<br />
Tedx<strong>INCAE</strong> was live-streamed, totaling more than<br />
2,200 playbacks in 34 countries (United Arab<br />
Emirates, Argentina, Austria, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada,<br />
Switzerland, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Germany,<br />
Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Spain,<br />
France, Guatemala, Holland, Honduras, Ireland,<br />
Luxembourg, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru,<br />
Paraguay, Qatar, the United Kingdom, Sweden,<br />
Slovenia, El Salvador, the United States, Uruguay and<br />
Venezuela). In addition, videos from various speakers<br />
have been reproduced on YouTube more than 17,000<br />
