Wendy Shoffit had nothing
to report, but was busily
scribbling notes as a substitute
James Shoffit reported that he
went to Houston for the Lone
Star Region’s 50th Anniversary
dinner featuring guest Vic
Elford. Most regions only
Travis Howard was preparing
for a Saturday Autocross
to make up for the event
that was rained out. Entrant
numbers were low, but he
was planning to promote it
to get more attendees. While he
hasn’t gotten AX/TT dates yet
on the calendar for 2012, he was
working with the University of
Dallas to rent out the parking lots
they own at the old Texas Stadium.
He continues to look for local
venues. Luke Edson suggested a
place in Plano he noticed being
used once for a car event.
John Hamilton adjourned the
meeting at 8:07 PM, after
announcing this month’s Mav of
the Month is Christy Payne!
