RAC Toy Run 2011 By Donald Rose President-D/FW Chapter Ferrari Club of America To all of the members of the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of the Ferrari Club of America and Friends of RAC Performance, including PCA Maverick members: after a gloomy and wet Friday and Friday evening, the next day shone bright for the 7th Annual D/FW-FCA Toy Run. The ORIGINAL D/FW-FCA Toy Run opened it’s doors at RAC Performance at 7:45 AM and we had people and cars waiting. We had great coffee supplied by Office Perks and delicious pastries supplied by Stratashield Customs and the people and the cars just kept coming. We had 100 maps printed and 1 test print map and we gave out all of them. Carolyn and I were in the last group and we ran with three people that did not have a map. So by my calculations we had 105 cars and about 200 people. The second page of the map this year included a RAC Performance $50.00 coupon off of your next service. So by attending the run you received something in return. The toy donation was huge and perhaps the biggest we have ever collected. In addition we raised over $1250.00 for the Collin County Children’s Advocate. I want to thank all of you that participated and if you didn’t or have not participated in the past please think about doing so next year. Everyone had a blast on the run (no drama this year) and we all had a good meal and a lot of fun chatting with To all the boys and girls this Christmas season. each other at the restaurant. With the donation that we gave the Justin Fire Dept., all of us should have had a good feeling. A whole lot of kids will have a much happier Christmas because of your generosity.
