Severn Valley Safari
From our base near Stourport we have an excellent selection of excursions
with something for all including Stokesay Castle, Acton Scott, West Midlands
Safari Park with tea and cake, RAF Cosford Aerospace Museum and
Coalport China Museum.
DAY 1: Morning collection from home to join the
coach for the journey to Worcestershire, with frequent
refreshment stops. We arrive at our hotel late afternoon
with tea, coffee and biscuits being served on arrival.
DAY 2: This morning we head north to visit the
Coalport China Museum, housing the exquisite
collections of Coalport and Caughley China. The
museum is located in the magnificent listed buildings
that were home to the factory until 1926. From here
we make our way to visit the Aerospace Museum at
RAF Cosford. This excellent exhibition has 70 aircraft
dating back to wartime, memorabilia over the years
and the National Cold War exhibition gives an insight
into life behind the Iron Curtain.
DAY 3: This morning is free for you to discover the
delights of Worcester, with its impressive Cathedral
and the scenic River Severn flowing through the city.
After lunch (not included) we have a drive along the
delightful Severn Valley. In Bewdley we visit the West
Midlands Safari Park where we enjoy tea/coffee and
cakes before a Safari Drive with a knowledgeable
park guide.
DAY 4: Today we take a ride to Stokesay Castle, a
survivor of 700 years of border and civil wars. From

here we make for the little village of Acton Scott
where we visit the Historic Working Farm, conceived
to keep alive 19th century farming practises. The farm
has featured on TV’s ‘Victorian Farm’ and offers a great
insight into life on a Victorian country estate. Leaving
here we have a pleasant drive along Wenlock Edge to
take a break in Much Wenlock before returning to
our hotel.
DAY 5: Departing our hotel after breakfast we travel
to the town of Warwick, set amidst historic buildings
and graced with a wide variety of attractive parks and
gardens, we have free time to explore and obtain lunch.
We continue our homeward journey this afternoon,
arriving back in East Anglia by mid
evening where our door to door
service will take you home.

A sightseeing tour with many things of interest, based in Great Malvern, with
the beautiful Malvern Hills overlooking the town we feature some of the
delightful Black and White villages in Herefordshire, as well as Hereford itself,
wine tasting and a boat trip.
DAY 1: We pick you up from home and drive to the
heart of England, breaking our journey in the historic
town on Stratford-upon-Avon. We continue to our
hotel arriving with time to relax before evening meal.
DAY 2: Our day begins with a drive to the Hop Pocket
Craft Centre and shopping village for our morning
break before visiting Broadfield Court Estate. Here we
enjoy a tour of the vineyard and garden followed by
wine tasting and a light lunch. This afternoon we
have free time in Hereford, with its magnificent
cathedral before returning to our hotel.
DAY 3: Today we begin with a ride around some

of the villages in Herefordshire’s beautiful ‘Black and
White’ Villages Trail. Our route takes in delightful
cottages, inns, shops in timber framed hamlets
including Dilwyn, Weobley, Eardisley, Pembridge
and Eardisland. We have free time in Leominster
before returning to Malvern.
DAY 4: This morning we head for the City of
Worcester where we have time to explore the city,
with its imposing Cathedral. We have free time to
obtain lunch (not included) before enjoying a boat
trip on the River Severn to round off the day.
DAY 5: Departing after breakfast we travel
through the Cotswolds via Broadway
and Stow-on-the-Wold, arriving
back in our home area by
early evening.
