& The Edinburgh Tattoo
The magnificent spectacle of the military massed bands in full dress uniform
playing and marching in the perfect setting of Edinburgh Castle is truly
memorable. Edinburgh itself is one of the world’s finest cities, and as the
breathtakingly beautiful capital of Scotland, is an exciting place to visit at
any time of the year.
DAY 1: Morning collection from home to join the
coach for the journey to our hotel in time for
evening meal.
DAY 2: After a leisurely full Scottish breakfast. We
travel to Stirling whose historic Old Town boasts the
finest concentration of historic buildings in Scotland.
Look out for the beautifully preserved medieval and
renaissance churches and mansions, including the
Argyll’s Lodging. This afternoon we take a scenic
drive to stunning Loch Lomond with a stop at Luss.

DAY 3: After a full English breakfast we have a
leisurely departure for Edinburgh where we have
free time to explore the inspiring capital city of
Scotland. We have time to purchase evening meal
before arriving at the magnificent Edinburgh Castle
for the spectacular Tattoo.
DAY 4: After breakfast, we commence our
return drive to East Anglia, arriving mid
evening where our door to door service
will be waiting to return you home.

Irish Coast & Castles
This exciting tour to the top of Ireland features Michael Palin’s coastal rail
journey and the dramatic scenery of the Giant’s Causeway. Wonder at the
wild Atlantic seascapes of Malin Head and take an interesting guided tour of
Derry’s city walls. With accommodation at the Clanree Hotel (the wedding
location of Daniel O’Donnell) in the Donegal region of Ireland this is
a great opportunity to experience the world-renowned ‘Irish Charm’.
DAY 1: Morning collection from home to join our
coach for the drive north to our overnight hotel in
the Cumbria area.
DAY 2: This morning we continue up through
England, cross the border into Scotland and take
the ferry from Cairnryan across the sea to Northern
Ireland. We overnight in the coastal town of Ballygally
and enjoy a stay in the Ballygally Castle Hotel.
DAY 3: Regarded as one of the finest marine drives
in Europe, the Antrim Coast Road passes spectacular
scenery centred round the nine Glens of Antrim.
We follow the coast road to the Giant’s Causeway
where legend tells of the giant Finn MacCool who
created the causeway as a path across the sea to his
lady-love in Scotland. We later follow in the footstep
of Michael Palin on the fabulous coastal train journey
from Coleraine to Londonderry which he describes as
“one of the most beautiful journeys in the world”.
We rejoin our coach for the journey to Letterkenny
for a 3 night stay at the Clanree Park Hotel.
DAY 4: We travel into the Inshowen peninsula with
our local guide. Glorious scenery is guaranteed as
7 Days / 6 Nights Half Board

we enjoy panoramic ocean views and ancient
monuments on our way to Malin Head the most
northerly point in the “Emerald Isle”. Onwards to the
historic city of Derry, where our guide will provide an
interesting insight into the city’s tumultuous past with
a part walking (on the city walls) and part driving tour.
DAY 5: We spend the day exploring the magnificent
scenery of Co. Donegal, beginning with a drive through
the Glenveagh National park. At the heart of the park
lies Glenveagh Castle, a truly romantic vision of Ireland
in its fairytale lakeside setting surrounded by forests.
DAY 6: After breakfast it’s time to leave Letterkenny
and make our way south to our overnight hotel in the
Dublin area.
DAY 7: After an early breakfast, we make the short
drive to Dublin Port for the morning ferry to Holyhead.
On arrival we continue to East Anglia
arriving by late evening, where
our door to door service will be
waiting to return you home.
