Our modern 4 star standard hotel is located on the banks
of the Loire and within a 15 minute walk of the town centre.
Le Chaland Restaurant is chic, modern and serves excellent French
cuisine. The hotel has a pleasant terrace overlooking the outdoor
swimming pool, a fitness room and WiFi throughout. Bedrooms
have air-conditioning, TV, telephone, hairdryer and tea/coffee

The Loire Valley with its historic châteaux, vineyards, gardens and rolling
countryside, is one of France’s loveliest and most interesting regions.
There are countless estates nestled in the forests of Sologne, and we
visit the Châteaux at Ambois, Blois and at Chenonceau, with its beautiful
Catherine Medici Garden; enjoy a barge cruise and a wine tasting as
we soak up the beautiful scenery and historic atmosphere.
DAY 1: Morning collection from your home to join our
coach for travel to Dover and the short sea crossing
to Calais. We travel across France with suitable
refreshment stops to our overnight hotel in Lisieux,
in the heart of the Normandy countryside. We enjoy
a welcome drink on arrival.
DAY 2: Leaving Lisieux after breakfast, we travel to
Chartres, a beautiful town of cobbled streets and
half-timbered houses, dominated by the two-spired
Cathédrale Notre Dame de Chartres. Built in the 13th
Century, this is the finest Gothic cathedral in France
and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since
1979. We have a one hour tour of the cathedral
before free time in the town. In the afternoon we
continue our journey south reaching Orléans and
our hotel late afternoon.
DAY 3: We visit one of the world’s most famous
châteaux, Chenonceau. Set in 70 hectares of park
with landscaped gardens and forests on either side
of the River Cher, the château with its stylised moat,
turrets and 16th Century towers is everything a
fairy-tale castle should be. We begin in Chisseaux,
boarding a traditional barge for a 50 minute cruise
on the River Cher, passing beneath the arches of the
Château. We then have time to explore the château
and the glorious gardens including the Catherine
Medici Garden and the Daine de Poitiers Garden.
DAY 4: A free day to relax and enjoy Orléans. Take
time to explore the parks, gardens, museums and
the old historic centre, which despite heavy bombing
through WWII remained largely intact.
DAY 5: This morning we travel to Blois, on the
northern bank of the Loire. Stroll among the twisting
medieval streets, historic buildings, pretty squares and
cafés. In the afternoon we visit the Royal Château
of Blois, the handsome former seat of the dukes of

Orléans, and residence to seven kings and ten queens
of France. Blois is formed by four wings around a
central courtyard, each with different architectural styles
– Medieval, Flamboyant Gothic, early Renaissance and
Classical. There is also a very fine art collection.
DAY 6: Today we travel to Amboise, the childhood
home of Charles VIII and the final resting place of
Leonardo da Vinci. The town is perched on the southern
bank of the Loire and is overlooked by the magnificent
15th Century château, which we will explore. We move
on to Vouvray, famous for its beautiful dry, semi-dry,
sweet and sparkling wines, and enjoy a 45 minute
wine cellar tour of Château Gaudrelle in the heart
of the Loire Valley.
DAY 7: After an early start, we travel up through
France, making suitable refreshment stops along the
way, to Calais for the short sea crossing to Dover. We
continue our return journey to East Anglia, arriving late
evening where our door to door service
will be waiting to return you home.

Cruising the Seine
We are pleased to join CroisiEurope aboard the MS Seine Princess for a
delightful seven day cruise from Paris to Honfleur.
DAY 1:Morning collection from your home to join our
coach for travel to Dover and the short sea crossing to
Calais. From here we travel down through France and
into Paris where we board the MS Seine Princess late
afternoon.
DAY 2: After breakfast on board, enjoy a coach tour
of Paris. We board for lunch and then the afternoon
is free for you to explore this wonderful capital at
your leisure. This evening we see the city illuminated
as we enjoy a cruise through Paris by night
(depending on water level).
DAY 3: A wonderfully relaxing day starting with
breakfast as we sail out of Paris past the futuristic
La Défense district. Tonight we stay in either
Andelys or Vernon, depending on pier availability.
DAY 4: This morning we cruise through a landscape
of broad limestone cliffs, arriving in Rouen after lunch.
This evening we have a gala dinner on board.
DAY 5: We journey through magnificent scenery with
steep cliffs, at the foot of which are a number of
charming little villages typical of the region. We return
on board for dinner and departure toward Honfleur.
DAY 6: This morning we reach Honfleur and the
morning is free to explore. After lunch on board we
visit Trouville, where you can explore the pretty harbour
sides. Return on board for our final evening’s dinner.
DAY 7: We disembark after breakfast and make our
way to Calais for the short sea crossing to Dover.

MS Seine Princess has 67 cabins all of which have
private facilities with showers, and are equipped
with TV, safe, hairdryer and air-conditioning. There is
a delightful panoramic lounge with a dance floor and
a bar, a comfortable restaurant, a gift shop and a sundeck.
There is no lift, and main deck cabins are accessed down
