Waikato job advertisements soar
Job advertisements on Seek New
Zealand this October rose 17.1 percent in
Waikato, compared with the same period
last year.

advertisements were up 9.9
percent.
“The building boom across
Waikato is helping drive
trades and services job ad
growth,” said Ms Faulding.
“Electricians, building trades
and labourers are in strongest
demand.”
“Mining, resources and
the energy industry has also
had strong growth, up 44 percent
year on year, but is a
smaller advertising industry,

New Zealand’s major regions
this October, which is reflective

and economic conditions.
“Wellington enjoyed solid
advertising growth, with job
ads on SEEK up 15.4 percent
their needs, because we want
to ensure they purchase the car
that suits their lifestyle.”

ICT [up 5 percent], manufacturing,

[up 15 percent], accounting
