By GEOFF TAYLOR The insurance broker’s former building on the site was comprehensively redeveloped in the first half of the year and Aon’s 45 staff moved back onto the site at the end of August. The new build was cel- ebrated with a glitzy, jampacked opening on October 27. While renowned Waikato musician Tim Armstrong performed, a who’s who of the Waikato sporting scene attended, reflecting Aon’s many sporting sponsorships. The Chiefs’ contingent included Tawera Kerr-Barlow and Atunaisa Moli, who mingled with representatives from Rowing NZ and Cycling NZ as well as Aon staff from the region’s 11 other offices, and clients large and small. Aon New Zealand chief executive Geoff Blampied, general manager Finance Andrew Bergman, general manager Human Resources Sophie Cawse, and managing director Russell Bailey also attended.
