2. Are there plans to carry out this same intervention for<br />

other diseases? If the genome study is successful, then they<br />

will roll out the intervention to cover as many diseases in<br />

children as possible.<br />

3. Copies were received in Makerere University, Albert<br />

Cook Library. However, there was no explanation<br />

attached to them. There is need to create more awareness<br />

for the series and the study itself. AHILA is one such forum<br />

to create awareness to health information professionals.<br />

Strengthening Systematic Reviews Capacity: Collaboration<br />

between The African Center for Systematic Reviews And<br />

Knowledge Translations at Albert Cook Library, Makerere<br />

University<br />

Through funding from IDRC, the African Center for Systematic<br />

Reviews and Knowledge Translation (AfCen) was developed at the<br />

Makerere University College of Health Sciences. This was developed<br />

to improve the rigor of research by pulling various experts from<br />

different backgrounds to work together towards producing more<br />

evidence based research findings.<br />
