RIVERGLADES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

As we get ready for 2016, let’s end the year with some
exciting news. Our second annual Riverglades Elementary
DIRECT DONATION CAMPAIGN FUNdraiser was a HUGE
success, thanks to all our families, parents, staff, and
Riverglades supporters! We couldn’t have done it without
you. It is wonderful that 100 percent of the fundraising goes
directly to our school – for new computers, educational
programs, materials, family event nights, teachers’ wish lists
and so much more.
Now it’s time to wrap. Grab some paper, scissors, and
tape and let your skills be seen. On December 1 st - 4 th and
December 8 th -10 th , it’s Holiday Gift Wrap time. The PTA
and volunteers will lend their hands to help wrap gifts for the
teachers and staff members at Riverglades.
Also in the beginning of the month,
it is time for PTA parents and
volunteers to celebrate
and be recognized. On
December 2 nd , the PTA
will host its PTA Holiday
Luncheon.
There is no better time
to give a little than during
the holidays. With all the
hustle and bustle, we often
forget about those in need
or who may be missing a bit of
holiday cheer. Riverglades will host
our Toy Drive December 9 th -11 th . Here’s your opportunity
to bring in an unwrapped toy for a child to really enjoy this
holiday season.
To wrap up the month, it is time to cheer our staff. Our staff
holiday luncheon is on December 16 th . There is no better
time to show our appreciation and finish up the year with a
staff and teacher celebration.

FOREST GLEN MIDDLE SCHOOL

The holiday season is
here and Forest Glen
has so much going
on to celebrate it. Our
basketball team has
games on December
2 nd and 7 th . Look at
the school website for
locations and times.
Our students will go on several
field trips. On December 4 th ,
the 7A and 7Z teams will go to the
Broward Center to see A Christmas Carol. On December
4 th and 5 th , the drama team competes at the Florida regional
competition in Palm Beach. On December 11 th , Team 8Z will
be at Swamp Stomp. On December 15 th , Team 8A will be at
Dickinson Park. Both of these are science-based field trips.
Parents have an opportunity to help Forest Glen by
participating in the PTA or joining the SAC committee. The
next PTA meeting is on December 1 st at 6pm and the next
SAC meeting will be held at 8am on December 8 th .
We also have many performances to enjoy this month. On
December 8 th , there will be a boys’ chorus performance at
Coral Springs High at 7pm. On December 9 th , the band will
perform in the Coral Springs’ Holiday Parade. On December
10 th , there will be a Chorus Zone concert at Coral Springs
High at 7pm. On December 15 th , the beginning band will
perform at 6pm. The concert and jazz bands will perform at
6pm on December 17 th .
On behalf of the administration, Forest Glen would like to wish
its teachers, staff, students, and families a very happy holiday
season and an enjoyable and safe winter break.
PARK TRAILS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

The holidays are here and our students are busy learning
and getting excited for a well-earned break. As this year
comes to a close, we would like to first thank everyone for
your enormous support with our annual Thanksgiving drives.
