Because of your generosity, we were able to help feed many
local families in need.
Our holiday shop will run from December 1 st to 4 th . This is
a great opportunity for students to purchase gifts for their
families and friends for the holidays. Another fun and exciting
event this month is Field Day - held December 14 th , 15 th ,
and 16 th . Students and teachers look forward to a great day
outdoors participating in fun and friendly competition.
Park Trails would like to congratulate our very own Theresa
Witt for being the first ever recipient of the FASFEPA
(Florida Association of State and Federal Education
Program Administrators) Instructional Support Personnel
Scholarship. The scholarship offers support to aspiring
teachers who have given many hours of service to others in
the community.
Looking ahead, the Dan Marino Autism Walk will be held on
January 23 rd . Our Park Trails Performs event will be held
early next year. Look for additional information to be sent home
and posted on our site.

MARY HELP OF CHRISTIANS CATHOLIC SCHOOL

We want to wish you all a very merry Christmas.
Following our Thanksgiving break, classes resume on
Tuesday, December 1 st . Dress down day is Thursday,
December 3 rd , the same day as fall sports photographs. We
have early dismissal on Friday, December 4 th . On Saturday,
December 5 th , our eighth grade students sit for the high
school placement test. Get plenty of rest the night before,
eat a good breakfast, and attack this test in a positive and
energetic manner.
Our annual Christmas show is
on Monday, December 7 th , at
the Coral Springs Center for
the Arts. Good luck to all
our budding thespians and
performers.
Our middle school midterms
take place between
Monday, December 14 th ,
and Friday, December 18 th .
That same week ends with early
dismissal on Friday, December
18 th , with no aftercare.
Christmas vacation is between Monday, December 21 st ,
and Friday, January 1 st . Have a happy and healthy new year.

HERON HEIGHTS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Thank you to the students who donated candy to send
to our troops. We were very glad to see all the candy and
cards that will make our troops feel very much appreciated.
Boosterthon fun run was a huge success and the students
enjoyed running their laps. Thank you to all the families who
donated to the fun run.
December is a short school month, but we sure have great
activities planned. Snowflakes for Larkdale begins on
December 1 st . This program brings much joy to our sister
school, Larkdale Elementary. It is wonderful to see all the
children bring in donations in the spirit of sharing with those
less fortunate. We know it will be a huge success, as in years
past, and that it will make the Larkdale students very happy.
On Wednesday, December 2 nd , our school will host a Fine
Arts Night. Parents and children are invited to come into the
school at 6:15pm. You will be able to purchase items at the
holiday shop. Get your gift-shopping done early for friends and
family. PTO is holding a general meeting in the cafeteria on
Thursday, December 3 rd , at 9:15am. Stop by so you can hear
about events and programs scheduled for the rest of the year.
Winter break starts on December 21 st and classes resume
on January 4 th . The end of the second quarter is on Thursday,
January 7 th , which is also an early release day. Friday,
January 8 th , is a planning day. Please mark your calendar.
We wish everyone happy holidays. Be very safe and enjoy a
peaceful time with family and friends. Safe travels to all who
