2FURORE BEACH
Amalfi Coast, Italy
In a small village situated on
the Amalfi Coast in the province
of Salerno, Furore is a feast to
the eyes. The town, known for its
gorge, is tucked away and often
called the “town that doesn’t
exist.” What used to be a scattered
settlement amongst the mountains
is now a village, brightly painted
to entice tourists and visitors to
their small commune. Bypassing
the dramatic fjord is a bridge with
a state road looking down upon a
sunny secret beach.
3ASPES BEACH
Heraklion, Crete
Only known to locals, Aspes
is located on the south coast of
Heraklion and accessible by boat.
Situated near the village of Tris
Ekklisies, this beach is one of the
most remote and inaccessible
areas of the Asteroussia Mountains
with high cliffs and sea caves. The
beach was named Aspes, meaning
mountain collapse in Greek, due
to the sliding cliffs in the area.
4CAPE LEVEQUE
Western Australia
At the end of the remote
peninsula in Western Australia’s
Kimberly region, Cape Leveque
offers a unique slice of historic
paradise. Earthy rocks of rich rust
color juxtapose the white sand
extending along the coastline.
Accessible only by four wheel
drive vehicle or seaplane, this
secret beach was once a campsite
for ancient tribes in Northern
Australia.
