Renfrewshire and Inverclyde
Games Society (RIGS)
We are a friendly group of board and card game enthusiasts who meet every
fortnight on Wednesday evenings at the upstairs café bar of Amaretto in Bridge
of Weir. The games we play offer a wide variety of themes and styles and can
cover anything from developing your ancient civilisations, managing and racing
your own NASCAR team or fishing in ancient Japan. Above all these are games
where you are in control of your moves and your decisions are central to your
game.
Our meetings in June are on the 2nd, 16th and 30th
at 8pm in the upstairs café bar at Amaretto in Bridge
of Weir and if you have any questions or would like
more information then please call Keith on 07789
501605. If you intend to come along then please
also let us know, using the same phone number, so
that we can ensure that there is a good supply of games.
Last month I was given the great privilege of being reelected
to serve as Member of the Scottish Parliament
for Renfrewshire North & West, having received 14,718
votes.
I would like to firstly say thank you to everyone who
put their trust in me. I will continue to serve as MSP
representing the communities of Kilmacolm, Quarrier’s
Village, Bridge of Weir, Houston, Crosslee Renfrew,
Gallowhill, Langbank, Inchinnan, Bishopton and
Erskine. I promise to serve my constituents in every
way in which I can.
My constituency office is open and my Monday
morning telephone surgery has re-commenced - please call 0141 885
2076 between 10am and 11am. Alternatively, if you require assistance
with any matter, you can contact my office anytime on the same number,
Monday-Friday 9am-5pm or e-mail Derek.Mackay.msp@parliament.scot.
My constituency wide surgery programme will re-commence after the
summer recess, during which I will be in every part of Renfrewshire North
& West speaking with constituents about what local issues matter most
to them.
During the election campaign my team and I spoke to 9,007 residents. A
number of local issues were raised with me, and I now intend to take these
matters forward on behalf of my constituents. These issues included local
road conditions, street cleaning, traffic management and street lighting,
all of which are of course the responsibility of local authorities, however,
I know just how strongly my constituents feel about these issues and it is
my duty to stand up for them.
