Lakelyn is a Caregiver Advocate for<br />
Home Instead Senior Care. Lakelyn<br />
works to educate professionals,<br />
families and communities on issues<br />
seniors face. In the spring of 2017,<br />
Lakelyn will graduate with a Master<br />
of Arts in Social Gerontology from<br />
the University of Nebraska–Omaha.<br />
She also earned a Master’s in<br />
Business Administration and her<br />
undergraduate education focused<br />
on marketing and communications<br />
studies. Lakelyn has professional<br />
experience in the private and public<br />
sectors of senior care services. She<br />
has worked on special projects for<br />
UNO’s Department of Gerontology<br />
and the local Area Agency on<br />
Aging. Lakelyn is in her third year<br />
serving as the co-chair of the<br />
Nebraska Chapter of the Alzheimer’s<br />
Association’s Dementia Care<br />
<strong>Conference</strong>. Lakelyn has a passion<br />
for helping others, especially aging<br />
adults and their families.
