The burden of mortality due to injury Uzbekistan has been decreasing over the past decades, both globally <strong>and</strong> in Europe (158). As<br />

Fig. 45–53 show for all injuries, Fig. 54–62 for intentional injury <strong>and</strong> Fig. 63–71 for unintentional injury, the same is<br />

true for mortality from alcohol-attributable Turkey injury, 18 albeit to a substantially lesser degree (decrease in age-st<strong>and</strong>ardized<br />

mortality rate for all injury: –25%, alcohol-attributable: –19%; for intentional injury: –9%, alcohol-attributable: –5%; for<br />

unintentional injury: –33%, alcohol-attributable: –27%).<br />

The trend was characterized by an increase in age-st<strong>and</strong>ardized mortality first, with the decrease happening in the past decade.<br />
