Wayne Gardner, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant who earned his bachelor’s<br />
degree in medical science at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.<br />
He graduated first in his class from the surgical physician assistant program<br />
of the University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical Center, receiving the<br />
Margaret K. Kirklin Award for academic excellence. Gardner has worked<br />
in cardiac and neurologic surgery subspecialties exclusively throughout his<br />
35-year career and has served as a lecturer and preceptor to physician assistant<br />
students. He has been an integral part of the NeuroSpine Institute team<br />
for more than 10 years, specializing in patient evaluation, minimally invasive<br />
surgical technique, and postoperative patient care.<br />
