<strong>Bamford</strong> Chapel Car Park at 10am. The cost<br />
will be £26 including coach and entry to<br />

Friends of <strong>Norden</strong> Jubilee Park<br />
The Friends of <strong>Norden</strong> Jubilee Park will be<br />
holding their annual Easter Egg Hunt on<br />
Sunday 16th April from 1pm. This will take<br />
place at as usual at Jubilee Park which is<br />
situated behind the bus terminus in <strong>Norden</strong><br />
(next to the Bridge Inn Chippy). Special<br />
guests, Peppa Pig and the Easter Bunny will<br />
be making their usual appearance and there<br />
will be lots of fun and activities such as an<br />
Easter egg hunt, face painting, Easter bonnet<br />
competition, bouncy castle, egg and spoon<br />
race and much more.<br />

Friends of Hopwood Park<br />
The Friends of Hopwood Park will be hosting<br />
a big Easter Egg Hunt on Monday 17th April<br />
from 2pm – 4pm at Hopwood Park,<br />
Manchester Road, Hopwood, OL10 2NB.<br />
Don’t forget your basket!! Refreshments will<br />
b available from the cabin. (Children under<br />
11 only for the Easter Egg Hunt). The<br />
Friends of Hopwood Park will be having an<br />
80’s night at the Albany on Friday 28th<br />
April. Doors open from 7.30pm until late. All<br />
proceeds from the night will go towards the<br />
Friends of Hopwood Park cafe project.<br />
Tickets are £5 each and this includes a free<br />
drink and nibbles. Over 18’s only.<br />
Rochdale Ladies Lifeboat Guild Event-<br />
Wednesday 26th April<br />
Rochdale Ladies Lifeboat Guild are<br />
celebrating 90 years. In honour of this we<br />
are holding an afternoon tea at the Town<br />
Hall in Rochdale on Wednesday 26th April<br />
<strong>2017</strong> from 2.30pm until 4 pm. A pianist will<br />
be entertaining us and The <strong>May</strong>or and<br />
<strong>May</strong>oress will be in attendance. Tickets<br />
priced at £10. All proceeds to go to the<br />
Lifeboat Guild to help them to continue to<br />
save lives at sea.<br />

as we hold our annual sale of bedding<br />
plants, hanging baskets and pots at our HQ<br />
in <strong>Bamford</strong>. The Scouts are entirely reliant<br />
upon subscriptions, fundraising activities and<br />
volunteer support so we really appreciate<br />
your support.<br />
There’s always a wide variety of bedding<br />
plants with all the usual favourites at<br />
affordable prices and, of course, they’re<br />
great quality. Watch out for an order form<br />
dropping through your letterbox to pre-order<br />
your plants, or just turn up on the weekend<br />

<strong>2017</strong><br />
The much awaited annual event, <strong>Norden</strong><br />
Carnival will take place this year on Saturday<br />
17th June. The parade starts at 1pm from<br />
Caldershaw Primary School and goes all the<br />
way through the village where it will turn<br />
around at Jubilee Park and then back to<br />
<strong>Norden</strong> School.<br />
Anyone wishing to enter a float can do so by<br />
e-mailing nordencarnival@sky.com. There<br />
is no entry charge and we give a small<br />
donation to any charity or community group.<br />
