<strong>Spice</strong>Jet adds 19 new domestic flights this summer<br />

<strong>Spice</strong>Jet has added 19 new domestic flights this summer, connecting key metros<br />

and cities as a part of its enhanced network. With the introduction of the summer<br />

schedule, the airline will increase its operation to 360 average daily flights. To cater<br />

to the peak summer rush, from March to October, <strong>Spice</strong>Jet has launched daily,<br />

direct flights for sectors such as Surat-Jaipur, Surat-Hyderabad, Surat-Goa, Jammu-<br />

Dehradun, Jaipur-Chandigarh-Jammu, Bengaluru-Thiruvananthapuram and Delhi-<br />

Thiruvananthapuram. The frequencies have also been enhanced on sectors such as<br />

Dehradun-Delhi, Bengaluru-Vijayawada and Bengaluru-Kochi among others.<br />

<strong>Spice</strong>Jet clocks over 90%<br />

PLF for 24 successive months,<br />

and registers highest OTP five<br />

times in a row<br />

<strong>Spice</strong>Jet has registered more than<br />

90% PLF (Passenger Load Factor)<br />

and also clocked the highest industry<br />

OTP (On-Time Performance) five<br />

times in the same period. The airline<br />

also topped the PLF matrix for March<br />

at 91.4%, thus taking the total tally<br />

to 24 successive months of over<br />

90% load factor. As per the statistics<br />

released by DGCA, <strong>Spice</strong>Jet’s OTP<br />

charts have witnessed consistent<br />

improvement in 2017 with the airline<br />

topping the charts five times and<br />

occupying the second spot on four<br />

occasions. In March, the airline’s OTP<br />

figure stood at 85.7%. The airline also<br />

registered a low cancellation rate of<br />

just 0.30%.<br />

<strong>Spice</strong>Jet joins hands with<br />

Lufthansa Systems to offer<br />

in-flight entertainment and<br />

e-commerce<br />

<strong>Spice</strong>Jet has joined hands with<br />

Lufthansa Systems to equip its whole<br />

fleet with BoardConnect Portable<br />

offered by the latter. The new service<br />

will allow <strong>Spice</strong>Jet passengers to shop,<br />

stream movies, watch cricket and other<br />

content from select platforms offered<br />

by the airline. The airline signed a<br />

Letter of Intent (LoI) with Lufthansa<br />

Systems to this effect at the Aircraft<br />

Interiors Expo in Hamburg. <strong>Spice</strong>Jet<br />

passengers will be able to avail the new<br />

offer this year.<br />

<strong>Spice</strong>Jet partners with HSBC<br />

India to offer payments via UPI<br />

<strong>Spice</strong>Jet has launched a Unified<br />

Payment Interface (UPI) as a payment<br />

option on its website, allowing<br />

passengers to conveniently pay online<br />

using a mobile handset. The integration<br />

will allow <strong>Spice</strong>Jet passengers to use<br />

their unique UPI IDs i.e. Virtual Payment<br />

Address to pay for all bookings made<br />

on the <strong>Spice</strong>Jet website. This payment<br />

solution, implemented by HSBC on<br />

the <strong>Spice</strong>Jet network, is the latest<br />

addition to the already existing host of<br />

payment options currently available on<br />

<strong>Spice</strong>jet.com.<br />
