This quarter’s CSM Forum highlights critical events and contributions made by the <strong>Military</strong> <strong>Intelligence</strong> (MI) Corps’ senior noncommissioned<br />
<strong>of</strong>fi cers (NCOs). From its inception in 1987, the MI Corps Command Sergeants Major (CSM) have taken the responsibility and<br />
the lead in ensuring that all MI soldiers were trained to meet the intelligence missions.<br />

Driving force behind the development and implementation <strong>of</strong><br />
the Operations and <strong>Intelligence</strong> (O&I) Course.<br />
Noncommissioned Offi cers Academy (NCOA) is established on<br />
1 July 1987, consolidating all MI Advanced Noncommissioned<br />
Offi cer training at Fort Huachuca, Arizona.<br />
Develops and implements the Pre-Assignment Course for all<br />
MI CSM and SGM.<br />
CSM David P. Klehn<br />
—February 1989 to January 1991<br />
Training is developed to provide prescriptive tactics, techniques, and procedures<br />
(TTPs) for <strong>Intelligence</strong> personnel involved in the Department <strong>of</strong><br />
Defense (DOD) Counter Narcotics Program.<br />
Leadership Assessment Development Program is implemented in the NCOA<br />
based on a Program <strong>of</strong> Instruction (POI) developed by the Sergeants Major<br />
Academy.<br />
Changes come to Career Management Field (CMF) 33, Electronic Warfare/Intercept<br />
(EW/I) Systems Maintenance. <strong>Military</strong> Occupational Specialty<br />
(MOS) 33P10 EW/I Strategic Receiving Subsystems Repairer and MOS<br />
33Q10 EW/I Strategic Processing and Storage Subsystems Repairer are<br />
consolidated into MOS 33Y10, EW/I Strategic Systems Repairer in October<br />
1991.<br />
Changes come to CMF 96. MOS 96U, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Operator,<br />
is created. MOS 96H, Aerial <strong>Intelligence</strong> Specialist is restructured to<br />
Ground Station Module (GSM) Operator for Joint STARS.<br />
The UAV platoon is deployed to the CENTCOM AOR.<br />
