Day 2<br />
Ziptrek Eco Tour<br />
Students will get to experience an ancient native beech forest<br />
overlooking Queenstown with a spectacular and exhilarating<br />
zip lining adventure. They then take the Skyline Gondola back<br />
up Bob’s Peak to the Ziptrek ziplining course.<br />
The Skyline Gondola is the steepest in the <strong>South</strong>ern Hemisphere<br />
and takes them 450 meters above Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu.<br />
When they get to the top of the Gondola they are rewarded<br />
with some of Queenstown’s most spectacular views. From Bob’s<br />
Peak they can see Coronet Peak to the north and the iconic<br />
Remarkables mountain range to the east, both of which are<br />
ski resorts in the winter. Across the deep blue waters of Lake<br />
Wakatipu to the southwest you see Cecil and Walter Peaks. It’s<br />
truly awe-inspiring!<br />
Queenstown<br />
Over 3 hours students explore the Kea Tour trail including a<br />
kilometer ziptrek fly down the hill to get the adrenalin going.<br />
Return back to central Queenstown for lunch before a hike<br />
up Queenstown Hill in the afternoon for breath taking views<br />
of the town and nearby Coronet Peak. Dinner is in a local<br />
restaurant in town.<br />
