Day 6<br />
From Wanaka to Queenstown<br />
Students will spend two hours on Lake Wakatipu where they<br />
will learn to fish and hopefully have the opportunity to take<br />
their own fish they’ve caught off their hook. As the charter<br />
boat can only take a maximum of 8 the group will be split in<br />
two trips. Combined with a thrilling ride on the Shotover Jet<br />
and time spent at the historic gold mining town of Arrowtown<br />
while waiting for the other group to f inish their f ishing trip,<br />
this is a day full of adventure and learning new skills.<br />
Any f ish caught will be taken back to the Oaks Club Resort by<br />
the guide to cook up for a light meal later in the afternoon.<br />
Fishing is a popular sport in New Zealand with<br />
Lake Wakatipu rich with salmon, Rainbow Trout<br />
and Brown Trout.<br />
Queenstown is well known for the famous Fergburger, voted<br />
as one of the best burgers in the world! Here your youngsters<br />
will get to experience the culinary delight of this amazing burger,<br />
with soft drinks or juices on the lakefront if the weather is<br />
suitable, or taking in the views from the warmth of the Oak<br />
Club Resort’s apartments.<br />
