THE NEWS AND KNOW-HOW FROM YOUR INDUSTRY
IN IT FOR THE
LONG HAUL
HAIRDRESSING GROUP Peter Mark
honoured 300 long-serving employees at
an awards ceremony at the Smock Alley
Theatre in Dublin. The Peter Mark Long
Service Awards paid homage to employees in
Leinster who have worked at Peter Mark for
more than 10 years, while two staff members
hit their Golden Anniversary of 50 years with
the salon group. Brothers Peter and Mark
Keaveney, pictured above, inset, at the launch
party in 1961, opened the first Peter Mark
salon on Grafton Street in Dublin. Today
there are 71 Peter Mark salons across Ireland.
Peter O’Rourke, chief executive of Peter
Mark, said: “We are delighted to celebrate
our loyal employees and recognise those
who have been with us for over a decade to
those who have been with our business for
40 years or more. We place huge importance
on attracting and retaining top talent and we
have an excellent track record in this area.
“We have a wealth of talent and experience
within our company and are now training the
next generation of professional hair stylists
coming through our doors.”
