Attitude Poses in Walks and Runs
Showing attitudes in walks and runs is a vital tool for communicating. Instead of just
getting the character from one place to the next, use the journey to tell your audience
how he's feeling. Here are just a few examples:

A live-action walk actually spends more screen time in the "passing position,"
where one leg passes in front of the other, but an attitude walk reverses this, spending
more screen time around the poses where the foot first contacts the ground.
Although this is technically "incorrect," if you spend fewer frames on the passing
position, and more frames cushioning into and out of the attitudes, it shows your
audience the "intent" of the walk.
