SENIOR PROJECT: GAME ART 1<br />

In this course, the first-semester senior has the<br />
opportunity to work on real-world projects either<br />
directly with industry in the field, or on projects for<br />
industry in a team-based project. This project will<br />
have an end product applicable for a competitive job<br />
in either some aspect of game art, modeling, concept<br />
art or effects. With consideration to the student’s area<br />
of concentration, they have the opportunity to focus<br />
their work as it applies to the field. This experience<br />
allows for hands-on utilization of theories received<br />
in the classroom, skills practiced in the studio and the<br />
student’s creative energy in a professional setting.<br />

ADVANCED DRAWING FOR GAME<br />

3 Units<br />
Advanced Drawing for Game will further a student’s<br />
drawing skills as they apply to figure or environment.<br />
Through the use of compositional breakouts, language of<br />
line, color theory, lighting and shape language, students<br />
will broaden their understanding of human form and/<br />
or landscape as an informational sketch tool. The class<br />
can be taken traditionally or digitally or a combination<br />
of the two based on instruction.<br />
SENIOR PROJECT: GAME ART 2<br />

3 Units<br />
This class is a continuation of Senior Project GA 418.<br />
Students give special attention to presentation of a<br />
portfolio or reel of their final project as it applies to<br />
the job market.<br />

SENIOR MENTOR<br />
(GA420)<br />
3 Units<br />
In this course a student is paired with an industry<br />
mentor that works in the students area of interest.<br />
The objective is to give the student a specialized skill<br />
set not offered within the curriculum that marks that<br />
student as a specialist in either concept or modeling<br />
as it relates to characters, environments, or advanced<br />
technology packages. The student is encouraged to seek<br />
out mentors in the field in order to learn networking<br />
skills. If a student is not successful in finding a mentor,<br />
he will be assigned one.<br />
