FROM OUR PRESIDENT<br />
Thank you for your interest in an education from Laguna College of Art<br />
and Design. Since its founding, <strong>LCAD</strong>’s mission has been to provide an<br />
arts education that reinforces traditional artistic values and is committed<br />
to fostering a mastery of classical skills and techniques in service of<br />
meaningful communication. At the same time, our innovative curricula<br />
continually evolve alongside the latest technologies and demands of<br />
complex and dynamic creative industries.<br />

An <strong>LCAD</strong> education prepares students for a multitude of creative<br />
possibilities by equipping them with a universal visual language that<br />
enables them to influence and shape contemporary culture.<br />
<strong>LCAD</strong>’s low student-to-instructor ratio demands rigorous admissions<br />
standards. Our faculty of top professional artists and designers are<br />
accessible to students and are committed to providing the best support<br />
and services possible for art and design educations grounded in studio<br />
practice.<br />
Located in the renowned coastal artist community of Laguna Beach,<br />
near the center of Southern California’s thriving creative arts industries,<br />
<strong>LCAD</strong>’s longstanding and growing partnerships with leaders of industry<br />
benefit all <strong>LCAD</strong> students, alumni and faculty.<br />
At <strong>LCAD</strong>, we are passionate about and dedicated to empowering new<br />
