APPLYING TO <strong>LCAD</strong><br />
<strong>LCAD</strong> recognizes and supports an admissions policy that encourages motivated<br />
and serious students to pursue a college education in the visual arts.<br />
ADMISSIONS<br />
We understand and are responsive to the diverse educational and personal<br />
backgrounds of students who apply. <strong>LCAD</strong>’s Admissions Committee reviews<br />
your qualifications so that they can evaluate, advise and place you based on a<br />
balanced picture. Your academic achievements, creative abilities and artistic and<br />
professional goals all are taken into consideration. <strong>LCAD</strong> highly recommends that<br />
current high school students follow a college preparatory program that includes<br />
courses in studio art, art history, digital art and supplemental drawing and design.<br />
APPLICATION PROCEDURES<br />
Freshmen applying for the fall term are encouraged to complete the application<br />
process by the February 2nd Freshmen Priority Deadline. Transfer students<br />
applying for the fall term are encouraged to complete the process by the March<br />
2nd Transfer Priority Deadline. Applications received after the Priority Deadlines<br />
will be considered on a space-available basis. <strong>LCAD</strong> accepts applications for<br />
the fall semester as early as November 1st of the year preceding anticipated<br />
enrollment; and for the spring semester, as early as July 1st of the year preceding<br />
anticipated enrollment.<br />

FALL SEMESTER:<br />
November 1st - Begin application procedures<br />
February 2nd – High school student Priority Deadline for fall admission<br />
March 2nd – Transfer Student Priority Deadline for fall admission<br />
May 1st - Accepted candidates begin the enrollment process with a nonrefundable $250 tuition deposit<br />
August 1st - Last day to submit any application material for fall admission consideration<br />
