INSPECTION<br />
Building Inspection is one of the many departments<br />
that works jointly for <strong>Floyd</strong> <strong>County</strong> and the City of<br />
Rome.<br />
In <strong>2017</strong>, the Rome <strong>Floyd</strong> Building Inspection<br />
department permitted 125 new homes in the<br />
unincorporated <strong>Floyd</strong> <strong>County</strong>. This was a 38.4%<br />
increase from 2016. They performed 5,715<br />
inspections in <strong>2017</strong> in the unincorporated <strong>County</strong><br />
which was an increase of 29.3%. The department was<br />
responsible for a total of $840,057.00 between the two<br />
government entities.<br />
