Syke Walk and Talk Group
The Syke Walk and Talk Group meet
every Monday at 1.00 pm and Friday
10.00am at Syke Methodist Chapel
where there will be toilet
facilities and hot drinks and
socialising after the walks. There
are 2 levels on the walk on Monday,
a high quick walk and a slower
one. There are also three levels
on a Friday. A high fast walk, an
intermediate walk and a slower one
if needed. So there is something to
suit everyone and all abilities. The
Syke Walk and Talk group also meet
on Tuesday at 10am from outside
the Doctors Surgery at the Cutgate
shopping precinct.

Springhill Hospice -
Hospice to Hospice Walk
on Sunday 29th of April
This popular event is a really relaxed,
family orientated walk, with everyone
going at their own pace.
Individuals, families, groups of
friends, work colleagues, dogs,
prams and wheelchair bound
supporters all really enjoy taking
part. 7.25 miles is quite a distance
but not too far to be daunting.
Entry to this event costs just £7
and all money raised goes directly
to caring for patients diagnosed
with a life limiting illness. Springhill
Hospice supporters will set off from
the beautiful grounds at 10.30 am
on Sunday 29th April 2018 and
finishes with hot soup and a sit
down in the comfort of the Day
Hospice.

hosts Murder at the
Riverside!
Saturday 7th April
The Mayor and Mayoress of
Whitworth, Councillor Alan and Mrs
Janet Neal, will be hosting a civic
dinner with a difference!
They will be joined by acclaimed
local theatre company ‘Just Imagine
North West’ for an evening of
intrigue where the guests have to
work out ‘whodunnit?’. This event will
take place at The Riverside (Civic
Hall), Whitworth, with doors opening
at 7pm for a prosecco reception.
Tickets are on sale now costing
£29.95 per head which includes a
three-course dinner, reception drink
and entertainment - tickets are
already selling quickly for this event
and should be booked in advance.
