6.30pm. This will be held at Syke<br />
Community Base, Syke Methodist<br />
Church, Syke Road, Rochdale.<br />

Syke Walk and Talk Group<br />
The Syke Walk and Talk Group meet<br />
every Monday at 1.00 pm and Friday<br />
10.00am at Syke Methodist Chapel<br />
where there will be toilet<br />
facilities and hot drinks and<br />
socialising after the walks. There<br />
are 2 levels on the walk on Monday,<br />
a high quick walk and a slower<br />
one. There are also three levels<br />
on a Friday. A high fast walk, an<br />
intermediate walk and a slower one<br />
if needed. So there is something to<br />
suit everyone and all abilities. The<br />
Syke Walk and Talk group also meet<br />
on Tuesday at 10am from outside<br />
the Doctors Surgery at the Cutgate<br />
shopping precinct.<br />

Springhill Hospice -<br />
Hospice to Hospice Walk<br />
on Sunday 29th of April<br />
This popular event is a really relaxed,<br />
family orientated walk, with everyone<br />
going at their own pace.<br />
Individuals, families, groups of<br />
friends, work colleagues, dogs,<br />
prams and wheelchair bound<br />
supporters all really enjoy taking<br />
part. 7.25 miles is quite a distance<br />
but not too far to be daunting.<br />
Entry to this event costs just £7<br />
and all money raised goes directly<br />
to caring for patients diagnosed<br />
with a life limiting illness. Springhill<br />
Hospice supporters will set off from<br />
the beautiful grounds at 10.30 am<br />
on Sunday 29th April <strong>2018</strong> and<br />
finishes with hot soup and a sit<br />
down in the comfort of the Day<br />
Hospice.<br />

The Mayor and Mayoress of<br />
Whitworth, Councillor Alan and Mrs<br />
Janet Neal, will be hosting a civic<br />
dinner with a difference!<br />
They will be joined by acclaimed<br />
local theatre company ‘Just Imagine<br />
North West’ for an evening of<br />
intrigue where the guests have to<br />
work out ‘whodunnit?’. This event will<br />
take place at The Riverside (Civic<br />
Hall), Whitworth, with doors opening<br />
at 7pm for a prosecco reception.<br />
Tickets are on sale now costing<br />
£29.95 per head which includes a<br />
three-course dinner, reception drink<br />
and entertainment - tickets are<br />
already selling quickly for this event<br />
and should be booked in advance.<br />
