XXXX Gold Is releasing a
series of limited edition
commemorative cans to
celebrate the Gold Coast
2018 Commonwealth
Games (GC2018). The
cans will feature three
of the GC2018 events
– cycling, sprinting and
swimming – as well
as a can celebrating
the return of the
Games to Queensland.
Queenslanders will have
the opportunity to grab
their limited edition cans,
by purchasing specially
marked cartons of XXXX
GOLD.
Said to be the beer that
helped put San Diego
IPA’s on the map. We are
not surprised... well aside
from our initial perception.
Found in a Dan Murphy’s
discount box, our
expectations weren’t
high but we soon found
out how far off the mark
we were. A big hop, big
flavour IPA thanks to the
abundance of American
Columbus and Centennial
varieties that provides its
signature bitterness whilst
still remaining beautifully
balanced. This beer is
incredible.
An absolutely beautiful
beer. It positively
reminded us of how good
a good lager can be. We
admittedly have been on
the IPA bandwagon of
late but this reminded us
that lagers need not be
boring. An exceptionally
clean, fresh taste and very
smooth. Sure to impress
no matter what kind of
beer you prefer.
Not quite a regular lager
and not quite a pale
lager. Interesting but
enjoyable nonetheless.
It’s kind of like a slightly
citrusy tasting pale lager
that’s easy drinking,
uncomplicated and light.
Refreshes your mouth
with a clean crisp flavour.
