Edwin Starr’s original band, The Team, backed
Edwin on all his shows. Still playing following
his sad passing in 2003, the story continues
with his brother, Angelo Starr, now lead
vocalist.
The Team’s reputation for consistently
producing outstanding live performances is
the foundation of their success; their intimate
relationship with soul music has seen many
legendary artists perform with them, including
The Temptations, Ben E. King and The Four
Tops.
A chance to hear Edwin’s hits, including - ‘War’,
‘S.O.S (Stop Her On Sight)’, ‘25 Miles’, ‘Eye To
Eye Contact’ and ‘H.A.P.P.Y Radio’. You’ll also
hear his Northern Soul classics including ‘Time’,
‘I Have Faith In You Baby’ and ‘Agent 00 Soul’
as well as soul and motown covers, such as
‘Get Ready’, ‘Higher and Higher’, ‘Superstition’
and ‘Dancing in the Street’. For this show, their
special guest is Northern Soul icon, Lorraine
Silver who will be performing her classic tracks
‘Lost Summer Love’, ‘Landslide’, ‘Long After
Tonight Is All Over’ and ‘The Happy Faces’.
