celebrating five decades in the music industry<br />
with a special matinee concert. A perfect<br />
excuse to grab your picnic basket and enjoy a<br />
sparkling afternoon of classic such as ‘Alone<br />
Again Naturally’ and ‘Get Down’. And to round<br />
off the Festival in style, Bury St Edmunds<br />
welcomes Grammy and Brit award-nominated<br />
UB40 for a sensational evening of 80s classics.<br />
With a line-up full of firm music favourites<br />
there is guaranteed to be something to suite<br />
all tastes from the vocal stylings of Berlin’s<br />
Ute Lemper to South Africa’s Grammy awardwinning<br />
Ladysmith Black Mambazo (the stars<br />
of Paul Simon’s multi-million selling ‘Graceland’<br />

Aled Jones<br />
Celebrating local talent is an exciting<br />
collaboration between one of the most prolific<br />
entertainers of the past 30 years, Aled Jones,<br />
and the young talent of Bury St Edmunds’<br />
Voice Squad as well as performances from the<br />
St Edmundsbury Singers, The Edmund Octet<br />
and Suffolk Philharmonic Orchestra.<br />
Music is not the only art form on display. In<br />
the abundance of brilliant acts, literary legend<br />
and one of Britain’s most remarkable poets<br />
Benjamin Zephaniah returns to the stage with<br />
his first tour in eight years, the hilarious Roger<br />
McGough will be setting his wit and wordplay<br />
to the musical sound of Little Machine<br />
and direct from Sadler’s Wells the festival<br />
welcomes The Tap Pack for a cocktail of highenergy<br />
tap dancing entertainment.<br />
