Food & Drink Festival set to delight the taste buds...<br />

Beccles town centre is set to be<br />

transformed as the Beccles Food<br />

and Drink Festival 20<strong>18</strong> returns for<br />

another gastronomic extravaganza.<br />

The free event, which runs from 10am till<br />

4pm on Saturday 26 th May, is following<br />

a tried and tested<br />

formula, and upwards<br />

of 50 stalls will be<br />

selling a variety of<br />

raw and cooked food,<br />

preserves, pickles, oils<br />

and other condiments,<br />

confectionery, and a<br />

variety of alcoholic<br />

and non-alcoholic<br />

drinks.<br />

Among local producers, Chet and<br />

Waveney Vineyard will be making their<br />

first appearance at the event, while from<br />

further afield The Chutney Barn, Curry<br />

Pie and Mr Bees will be attending.<br />

In addition to the town centre, stalls will<br />

be nearby in and around St. Michael’s<br />

Church, and also in the Public Hall, where<br />

East Coast College will be running a<br />

Cookery Theatre throughout the event,<br />

consisting of a variety of<br />

cookery demonstrations<br />

and talks.<br />

businesses on the day.<br />

Visitors are encouraged to make use of<br />

the Free Park and Ride minibuses from<br />

the Festival car park at Beccles Quay.<br />
