The uncontrolled release of tens of thousands of new Commercial<br />

Passenger Vehicle licences by the Andrews Labor Government in 6<br />

months, is commercially irresponsible, socially harmful and emotionally<br />

devastating for an industry already struggling to survive.<br />

COMMERCIAL PASSENGER<br />

Between August 2017 and March <strong>2018</strong> the Victorian taxi fleet increased<br />

from 5,636 to 9,305 vehicles, hire cars increased from 2,824 to a<br />

massive and damaging 29,843 vehicles according to Taxi Services<br />

Commission (TSC).<br />
