En el libro Shaping the Fourth Industrial
Revolution, Klaus Schwab, fundador y
director ejecutivo del Foro Económico
Mundial, propone que el reto se aborde por
medio de un “liderazgo de sistemas” que
asegure, en paralelo al desarrollo tecnológico,
la creación de un sistema inclusivo y
sustentable para su gobernanza, que procure
el impacto más positivo posible, tanto
económico como social y político. El trabajo
de Schwab y Davis identifica doce conjuntos
de tecnologías emergentes y pondera las
formas en que su desarrollo no exacerbe las
desigualdades, dejando atrás a millones de
seres humanos y que, por el contrario, ayuden
a resolver desafíos globales.

In the book Shaping the Fourth Industrial
Revolution, Klaus Schwab, founder and
executive director of the World Economic
Forum, suggests addressing the challenge
through “systems leadership,” a strategy
that ensures that new technologies are governed
by inclusive and sustainable systems
created to foster positive economic, social,
and political outcomes. This work by Schwab
and avis identifies twelve sets of emerging
technologies and ponders the ways in which
their development could, instead of exacerbating
inequalities and leaving behind millions
of people, help solve global challenges.
