person falling in love. The one thing I hate about society
(unpopular opinion) is that people search for their “other half.”
What does that mean? I’ve gotten this far without another half,
or someone who “completes me.” I believe I can fall in love with
someone, but still be my own person, make sense?
3. Everybody Hurts – R.E.M.
Sometimes when someone is in pain about something, it’s helps
to listen to the songs that bring out all the feels. But be picky
with those songs, you don’t want to feel worse. This song is the
best sad song that explains that everyone feels pain, so you can
get through it. Light at the end of the tunnel kind of song.
4. The Way I Am – Charlie Puth
THANK YOU CHARLIE! No one needs to apologize for being
themselves. If you don’t like it, then that’s your problem. Not
only does he touch it’s ok to be yourself, he discusses how no
one can get to know anybody anymore because no one talks!
Social media man…ruins lives. I’m sick of people being overjudgy
when someone wants to just be themselves. Because at
the end of the day, that’s just the way I am.
5. IDFWU – Big Sean
This is the song to play if the only thing to say to a person or
situation is “Eff You.” Whenever I’m angry, this song comes on
and I instantly feel better. You’re not telling anyone off in
person, just getting yourself through your anger in privacy. It’s
fun.
“And number 6 from me is Christina Aguilera - Beautiful. The pain
and sadness commences but she pulls us up through into the light
with a strong sense of self-confidence. We’re the song inside the
tune, full of beautiful mistakes.” Ruby
Let me know if there are other songs to add or help you get
through things! These are the top ones for me for feel-goodself-care.
They help my mental health, and overall make me a
happier person.
