Over a Garage track with a 90’s rave edge come lyrics that will either transport
you back or take you there for the first time. The track is called 'Flashback', just
like the legendary Birmingham club night that started in 1997 and catered for
those clubbers who wanted to go back to their glory days of early 90’s raves,
when feelings of ecstasy were always in reach and breakbeats would create
scorch marks on the dancefloors. T8PES said: "Flashback is a trip down that
renowned lane of memories full of highs and lows, but mainly highs. The
agony and ecstasy of misspent youth, tribal fever that came with 90's dance
culture, the euphoric rush of togetherness that could only be found on the
packed dancefloors of nightclubs and raves around the country. Everything
comes with a label nowadays, ‘is it Garage, House, Dubstep?’ No mate, it's a
nostalgic homage to a period of time that defined our lives. An era that is still
well and truly alive in the hearts of many."
T8PES is something old and new, managing to revive and pioneer a sound that
is woven into the fabric of British culture.
