The security industry is busy and complex, so it’s easy to miss
new products and services as they get lost in day-to-day
activities. Every now and again, certain products grab our
attention so here we take a look at some of the products we
think you won’t want to miss this month.
Out-of-the-box intrusion
detection solutions
Hanwha Techwin and A.I Tech have engineered
single device intruder detection solutions
which provide detection whilst reportedly
reducing false alarms.
The Wisenet Intrusion Detection solutions
are supplied ready to work out-of-the-box. By
harnessing the processing power of the chipset
in Wisenet X cameras with A.I. Tech’s video
analytics, the solutions provide detection
regardless of the lighting conditions or the
presence of shadows or reflections.
The Wisenet AI-Intrusion-PRO solution
combines the images captured by the 2
megapixel network Wisenet XNO-6020R/INT IR
bullet camera with A.I. Tech’s video analytics to
detect activity in prohibited zones. For site
perimeter security purposes, it is also able to
detect people or objects crossing multitripwire
virtual lines which can be remotely
configured.
Wireless devices
aimed at installer
convenience
Vanderbilt has released a new
range of SPC Wireless devices
which includes detectors, panic
buttons, fobs, and a transceiver.
The devices are discreet with sleek
and modern lines to complement
the interior styles of many
environments, such as retail stores
and apartment buildings.
The devices boast two-way
wireless technology for ease of
installation and can reportedly
cover over 500 meters in open
space cuting down on install time.
A feature of the release is that
the devices use Energizer lithium
batteries which, says the company,
results in an extended battery life
of five years or more.
This release marks the first
phase of wireless development for
the SPC system. In subsequent
releases due later this year,
Vanderbilt will also present
repeaters, bells, sirens, PIR cameras, and keypads
for their wireless range to the market.
Open platform VMS with added features
Redvision has launched a new, open platform control system,
the Redvision VMS1000. Powered by Digifort software the VMS
offers features for Redvision’s PTZs, such as analytics on
presets; point and click operation; and control of lights,
wipers, washers and telemetry.
It represents a server-based control system with no annual maintenance
fees and maximises the functionality of X-SERIES and VOLANT PTZs and
VEGA fixed cameras and is also integrated with 245 other CCTV brands. This
enables the re-use of legacy CCTV cameras into surveillance projects,
including encoding existing analogue cameras into the system, or the
inclusion of new cameras and technologies, such as 4MP, 8MP and 12MP
cameras and the use of H.265 compression.
The Redvision VMS1000 is available in four license types, Explorer (up to
16 cameras), Standard (up to 32 cameras), Professional (up to 64 cameras)
and Enterprise (any number of cameras and sites). LPR and Facial
Recognition are add-on modules and the system enables client workstations of up to eight monitors.
