I think AI will be the core to all of our systems. Fully linked and integrated systems are the way forward, but I think the security industry's move to embrace AI will be slower than other sectors. What is your ultimate/fantasy electronic security product? A fully integrated and addressable system that can run on a on a LAN/WAN. By that I mean wireless detection (intruder and fire) connected to LANs along with refuge, call systems, CCTV and access control all controlled by an integrated front end on a wireless device such as an iPad. This would require a rethink in the standard but I am sure this could be done. Five years ago we didn’t realise we could control the humble alarm from an app, so in ten years' time I would like to think the technology and thirst for innovation will be there to drive it forward. Will England ever win the football World Cup again? I have a strong feeling that 2018 could be our year to go all the way. I think that the young squad is key to our success and they are certainly good enough to get at least to the semi-final and hopefully even further. What would you do if you won £25,000? I would give it to Cancer Research. I would rather give it to a good cause so that they can use it for the benefit of everyone.
