Complete security package for
Knowsley photography studio
Stanley Security, has provided a photography
studio in Knowsley, Merseyside, with a wireless
Ricochet technology based alarm system financed
through Stanley Assure.
Studio Argent is a 5,000 ft sq studio that
houses and uses digital equipment to produce
creative and commercial photography for large
national and international clients, making security
of their premises a priority.

A trial of Intratone access control systems at
Network Homes’ sites across London has been
so successful that it resulted in zero faults over
two years.
Network Homes is a housing association with
20,000 homes across London, Hertfordshire and
the South East. Proximity readers and fobs were
installed by Delta Security in 319 apartments
across 19 blocks in 2015; High Frequency (HF)
receivers for car park access have also been
trialled.
Paul Grady, Electrical Contract Manager and
Neville Tucker, M&E Project Manager have
managed the project to date. One of the
devices located throughout the studio building to
ensure that even the remotest areas are secured.
Furthermore, any weak signals between devices
prompt the Ricochet network to self-heal and
automatically re-route communication so that the
studio is protected at all times.
Stanley Security recommended the studio’s
existing aging intruder alarm system be replaced,
with the costs covered under Stanley Assure, a
finance solution for customers wishing to benefit
from security technology without the risks of
ownership and with evenly spread payment terms.
Additionally included is a monitoring package.
Studio Argent now receives 24/7, 365 days a year
monitoring and immediate customer care.
The ease of usage of the new intruder alarm
system allows Studio Argent to activate the
system in under five minutes, whilst previously
the process took approximately 40 minutes.
Furthermore, whereas the old system was
hypersensitive and would often be set off by mice
and moths in the building, the new system, relying
on latest mesh technology, ensures no false
alarms occur while offering airtight security which
is easily scalable, should the studio expand its
premises.
After repeatedly having to pay additional,
hidden costs to the previous security supplier for
patch up work to the studio’s 20 year old alarm
system, and dealing with subpar service which in
one incident breached the national code of
conduct for UK Alarm providers, Studio Argent
was pleased to make the cut and move to a new
security provider.

system was to simplify key management,
especially when granting access to contractors:
“Previously, staff had to escort all contractors
on site which was very inconvenient. Now this
can be managed remotely. The cloud-based fobreader
system has significantly enhanced
control over who has access, for how long and to
which properties. Changes made to key fobs are
immediate and can be made from anywhere,”
Paul says.
The new system also benefits the residents. If
a user loses their fob, the operator is able to
immediately establish its identity and disable it
for future use. A new fob is subsequently
activated and then despatched. Every time a fob
is used the data is sent back to the remote
operating platform, giving operators an overview
of that particular gate or secured door’s activity.
Any unusual activity is therefore easily identified
and monitored.
“The Intratone system gives us complete
control and visibility. It also means we don’t
have to approach a third party whenever a
resident has lost a fob, or someone moves out.”
Neville adds.
Network Homes is intending to use Intratone
equipment on its new developments and as
replacements for planned upgrade works to
some of its 20,000 homes across London,
Hertfordshire and the South East.
