Training<br />
Training programmes in the use of the library and its facilities, including literature searches<br />
must be booked in advance.<br />
Health Sciences Resource Centre Regulations<br />
• All students must produce their current registration cards (ID) for any library service.<br />
• Books removed from the shelves for use must be reshelved or placed back in their<br />
shelves. No books should be left lying on the tables after use. Shelves are clearly<br />
numbered, corresponding with the call number on the spine label of each book.<br />
• Books taken out for tutorials must be brought back.<br />
• All overdue books incur prohibitive fines, and loss of library books must be replaced.<br />
• Unauthorised removal of library material from the library is regarded very seriously and is<br />
a punishable offence.<br />
• Books must not be marked, defaced, or in any way mutilated.<br />
• Silence must at all time be observed in the library, general discussion, and academic or<br />
otherwise must not be held inside the library.<br />
• Bags and briefcases must be left at the entrance, However the library accepts no<br />
responsibility for the loss of any material or valuables.<br />
• Caring of firearms, smoking, eating, and drinking are not permitted in any part of the<br />
library.<br />
• All library users must abide by these rules.<br />
• The <strong>University</strong> Librarian has the right to refuse students who have infringed these<br />
regulations, the use of the library until such time as the Principal / Vice chancellor has<br />
given decision on the matter.<br />
