Madison Marder of Windermere<br />

was initiated into The Honor Society<br />

of Phi Kappa Phi at San Diego State<br />

University. Phi Kappa Phi is the nation’s<br />

oldest and most selective all-discipline<br />

collegiate honor society. Madison is<br />

among approximately 30,000 students,<br />

faculty members, professional<br />

staff and alumni to be initiated into the<br />

society each year. Membership is by<br />

invitation only and requires nomination<br />

and approval by a chapter.<br />

Claire Quinn of Winter Garden,<br />

a new master’s student in the<br />

Global Field Program from Miami<br />

University’s Project Dragonfly, traveled<br />

to Baja this month. She is studying<br />

desert and marine landscapes<br />

through ecological and social field<br />

methods. Claire works as a conservation<br />

educator at Wild Africa Trek<br />

in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.<br />
