Pinceladas de Mujer produced its second annual Spring Hat
Show, held at Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. The event benefited
OCA, a nonprofit organization that gives individuals with autism and
other disabilities the opportunity to improve their quality of life
through a multidisciplinary approach. Special highlights of the day
included a fashion show by Venezuelan designer Nailuj Villaroel, a
ballroom dance performance by Emilia and Hayk Balasanya from
Fred Astaire Dance Studios, and the traditional hat contest. Glennys
Ortega won the spring elegant category, and Palm Lake resident
Donna Boyer took home the winning trophy for best spring hat.
