Transmission<br />

When you are travelling in slow<br />
moving traffic or climbing steep<br />
gradients there may be a tendency<br />
for the transmission to continually<br />
shift between 4th and 3rd gears. If<br />
this condition should arise switch the<br />
overdrive function off.<br />
Note: The transmission will only<br />
select between 1st, 2nd and 3rd<br />
gears if the overdrive function has<br />
been switched off.<br />

1. Remove the cover.<br />
2. Insert a flat-bladed screwdriver<br />
into the slot.<br />
3. Push downwards on the<br />
screwdriver to release the lever<br />
and move the selector lever from<br />
the park position.<br />
4. Install the cover.<br />
Drive modes<br />
The transmission will select the<br />
appropriate gear for optimum<br />
performance based on ambient<br />
temperature, road gradient, vehicle<br />
load and driver input.<br />
Emergency park position<br />
release lever<br />
Use the lever to move the selector<br />
lever from the park position in the<br />
event of an electrical malfunction or<br />
if your vehicle has a flat battery.<br />
